New York - Days 8 & 9

Lakeside Beach State Park
Tuesday, 8 May 2018

The dogs and I walked early this morning to the accompaniment of a sunrise as gorgeous as last night’s sunset. I was sorry no one else was up at 5:15 to enjoy it with us.

For breakfast I had pancakes and syrup, courtesy of New York’s natural resources. Very tasty.

I’ve been tired and cranky often in the last few days and finally decided I needed to take a break. A few days in a beautiful spot catching up on chores sounded like a sane move, so I’ve extended my stay here till Friday.

There’s plenty to see – squirrels, chipmunks, beautiful lake views, not very many other campers. Hard to beat.

Roscoe found an out-of-the way sleeping spot
